Why are my posts missing the structured data?

If the speakable structured data is not getting added to your posts even when it's turned on in the settings, your template may be missing the wp_footer.

Adding the correct structured data for the Speakable Specification is usually just a matter of toggling the "Include structured data" setting in the Soundcheck sidebar.

But if your posts are still not validating, it's possible your theme is missing the wp_footer() code. Soundcheck, along with many other plugins, relies on this to run.

Your theme should include something like the following:

...
<?php
/* Always have wp_footer() just before the closing </body>
* tag of your theme, or you will break many plugins, which
* generally use this hook to reference JavaScript files.
*/
wp_footer();
?>
</body>
</html>
